Sarah has solid and recognised experience in providing strategic support to international and local companies operating in China. With a strong professional background in management, financial planning and control, and her skills in managing challenging cultural contexts, she has the ability to lead teams and projects in China (she speaks Mandarin) and abroad. Prior to joining ORCOM, Sarah co-founded and led BSide Design, a consulting firm specializing in strategic consulting for companies aiming to improve their urban and social impact in China through creativity. Before embarking on this adventure, she was first Chief Financial Officer, then Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of the Rizzoli Group (RCS Media Group), an Italian listed company leader in the publishing and media industry.

She led the company’s development in China for five years. Prior to moving to China, Sarah worked in the strategic planning and organization management of a participatory holding company operating in Italy in the tourism, communication and fashion sectors, where she participated in the international expansion of participating companies and in mergers and acquisitions activities. Sarah graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a degree in Economics Applied to the Arts and Media Industries, completed MBA/Arts&Media courses at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, and obtained her HSK Certificate at Beijing University of Languages and Culture.

Sarah has lived in China for over 13 years and has two children.
