On July 11th 2016, General Manager of Orcom C&A Marco D’Amore, travelled to Paris to give a presentation entitled “Doing Business in China: Mainland China vs. Hong Kong SAR”. The event was kindly hosted by the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris (CCIP).

Marco D’Amore’s previous career experience, coupled with his numerous years of business involvement in China, made his insight quite valuable to all in attendance. The presentation was divided into five main points of interest that outlined differences between business dealings in Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China: (1) Legal aspects/nuances, (2) Tax aspects/nuances, (3) Labor Laws & Costs, (4) Accounting and Auditing in the PRC, (5) Detailed information on Individual Income Tax. The aim of the workshop was to allow the participants to gain knowledge on how better select their business models when they make the decision to operate in Mainland China, in consideration of the necessity to pass by (or not) HK.

The technical workshop in Paris was well received and seen as a great success. Given the positive feedback, we at Orcom C&A are glad to confirm that the workshop will be held again in September, at the CCIP.
